OPERATION
PREPARING THE UNIT
Unpacking and completing the assembly should
be done on a flat and stable surface, with enough
space for moving the machine and its packaging,
always making use of suitable equipment.
1.Rotate the handle quick release levers (Fig. 2.14)
at both sides to release the handle (Fig. 1.3). Ro-
tate the handle and then position the pin into
the mower bracket, choosing one of three angle
positions. Lock the handle in place by closing the
quick release levers.
2.Put the recoil starter (Fig. 1.13) on the right of the
handle, introducing the grip on its support guide
rope and fixing the rope with the plastic collar.
3.Place the brake and clutch cables in position (Fig. 3).
4.Assemble the grass bag by sliding the frame into
the grass bag and attaching the clips (Fig. 4).
5.Lift the rear discharge guard, remove the
mulching plug (where applicable) (Fig. 6) and
install the grass bag in position (Fig. 5).
Mulching plug
The mulching plug is to be used when mulching
and never in combination with bag collection.

plug. To install the mulching plug, lift the rear dis-
charge and slide in position (Fig. 6).
Side discharge chute
When applicable, using side discharge (Fig. 1.10)
will guide the cut lawn out of the side of the lawn
mower deck. Lift the side discharge guard (Fig.
1.9) to install the chute.
NOTE: When mulching remove side discharge chute.
NOTE: When using side discharge keep the mulch-
ing plug in position.
Setting the cutting height
WARNING: Before adjusting the cutting height,
stop the engine and wait for the mower blade to
come to a complete stop.
Pull the lever (Fig. 1.11) forward or backwards to
adjust the adjust to the desired cutting height. Al-
ways make sure that the lever is locked back into
position.
Before starting work please:
1. Check that all the screws on the machine are
tightly fastened.
2. Check that the air filter is clean.
3. Prepare accessories and make sure they are
correctly mounted.
4. Fill with oil and fuel as indicated below.
FUELING AND LUBRICATION
WARNING: Never smoke whilst refueling and keep
fuel away from all sources of fire or spark. Avoid in-
haling the petrol fumes and always refuel in outside
and well ventilated areas.
WARNING: Lawn mower is delivered without oil and
fuel.
The lawn mower is equipped with a 4-stroke en-
gine meaning gasoline should be used in fuel tank
and the engine case should be filled with 4-stroke
engine oil.
Fuel specifications: Unleaded gasoline
Oil specifications: Only use oil that meet the re-
quirements of API service class SF or higher. For
general use (5°C - 38°C) the recommended oil is
SAE 15W-30. Engine oil capacity: 0,5L
Always use clean container for storing fuel and do
not use fuel stored for more than a month.
Use a funnel in order to avoid spilling fuel or oil.
Do not overfill.
To fill the engine with fuel:
1.Remove the fuel tank cap (Fig. 9.24).
WARNING: Carefully open the tank top as
pressure could have formed inside.
2.Add fuel to the upper level of the fuel tank
(Fig. 9.23). Leave a minimum 5 mm of space be-
tween the top of the fuel and the inside edge
of the tank to allow for expansion.
3.Reposition the fuel tank cap and tighten ap-
propriately.
To fill the engine with oil:
1.Remove the oil cap (Fig. 1.8). The bottom part
of it is the oil level indicator (oil dipstick).
2.Add enough oil to bring the oil level betwen
the upper (Fig. 8.21) and lower (Fig. 8.22) limit
on the oil dipstick. Measuring should be done-
