ASSEMBLY OF THE ANCHORING EYELET

Remove the locknut, the A2 washer, and the plastic washer (the lower plastic washer remains on the thread). Attach the
anchoring eyelet with the lettering at the top. Position the second plastic washer and the A2 washer. Tighten the nut (see
figure) and then slightly loosen the nut so that the anchoring eyelet can be rotated freely around the rod.

MAINTENANCE

8.1 Inspection

The installed anchoring point SPA-TYPE-1-XXX must be inspected by a technical expert as necessary
(contamination, damage, etc.), but at least once a year.
A technical expert is someone who, through training and experience, has sufficient knowledge of personal safety
equipment. It must be guaranteed that this person can assess the operating safety of the fall protection system.
This person must be familiar with the relevant guidelines and generally-recognised technical rules (e.g. EN
standards).
SKYLOTEC GmbH shall not assume any liability whatsoever unless the prescribed maintenance intervals are
observed.

8.2 Maintenance during use

The system and system components must be in an undamaged, corrosion-free state. Damaged, bent, or
compromised components due to a fall must no longer be used. Non-observance may result in a danger to life and
limb. All of the threaded fittings and adhesive connections should be continuously checked for secure fit.
It is important to ensure that the anchoring eyelet (for individual anchoring points) can turn freely.
In the event of defects, the anchoring point must not be used. It must be inspected by a technical expert and
repaired, if necessary.

8.3 Maintenance and care

Secupin anchoring points and system supports do not require any particular care. Check the eyelet for cleanliness
and smoothness of movement.
Attention: All anchoring points must be inspected and maintained by a technical expert at
annual intervals.

8.4 Service life

The service life of the product depends on the individual conditions of use. All system elements consist of
corrosion-resistant or hot-dip galvanised steel and are, therefore, weather-resistant and require a minimum
amount of maintenance. For stainless steel types, slight surface rust near coastal areas does not constitute a
material defect. Regular cleaning is beneficial with regard to service life, in that aggressive substances are
removed from the surface, thereby protecting it from premature ageing. Under optimal conditions of use, the
product should have a service life of a maximum of 15 years. The service life of the product depends on the
individual conditions of use. All system elements consist of corrosion-resistant stainless steel (min. A2 quality)
and PA components and therefore are weather-resistant and low-maintenance. During system inspection, the
technical expert decides on the further period of use. After a fall, the anchoring point SPA-TYPE-1-XXX must no
longer be used. The system must be inspected by a technical expert.
Under optimal conditions of use, the product should have a service life of a maximum of 15 years.
