6.0 Installation of PFA Post Bases
This section highlights the different mounting options available for the PFA post. Please refer to Section 2.0 "Structural
Strength" and the appropriate specification sheet(s) for each mounting base to determine the mounting method and
strength required for each application. Specification sheets are supplied with each PFA Post/accessory or can be down-
loaded from www.millerfallprotection.com.
NOTE: Site specific information about mounting the PFA Post and accessories (welding or bolting procedure, type of
bolts, etc) CANNOT be detailed in this manual as every site and/or structure is different. A qualified engineer must
design and approve each installation based on mounting requirements, site knowledge and experience.
DH-AP-4, DH-AP-5, DH-AP-6, DH-AP-7
DuraHoist anchor plates have been designed to be perma-
nently welded to existing steel structures where use of a por-
table I-beam (DH-AP-9) is not feasible and the post cannot be
attached to concrete. Welding procedure must be approved
by qualified personnel to be compatible with any and all struc-
tural & operational characteristics of the selected installation
location.

DH-AP-9
DH-AP-9 - Miller portable I-Beam base can facilitate anchoring of the post temporar-
ily to an existing I-beam with flange width of 4 – 16 inches.

DH-AP-12
DH-AP-12 – The Miller bolt on anchor plate is designed for installation into concrete
surfaces or locations where welding is not a viable option. It can also be used as a
temporary mount. Specific instructions for installation are available from the sup-
plier of any fastener/bolts and must be installed in accordance with the specifications
provided by Miller.
