6.1.2- Safety lock button (Fig.16)
WARNING! Stop operation when the safety lock (9) is defective. The safety
lock (9) is the device to prevent unintentional start of the
throttle lever (11).
While pushing the safety lock, you can accelerate the throttle
lever.
1. Check if the throttle lever (11) does not move when you do not push the
safety lock (9).
2. Check if the throttle lever (11) moves when you grasp or release it while
pushing the safety lock (9).
3. Check if the safety lock (9) returns to its original position when you release your hand from it.
If you find any defects at the checks above, contact your nearest servicing dealer for repair.
6.1.3- Anti-vibration system (Fig.17)
A deformed or damaged anti-vibration system may cause of the breakages
like getting rickety or falling off of engine and/or blade.
Check periodically if the springs are not deformed or damaged.
6.1.4- Air filter (Fig.18)
Release the air cleaner cover (13) and remove dusts.
In case the element (a) is dirty, carefully wash it with warm water
containing neutral detergent, Completely dry before refitting the element. If
the element is deformed or damaged, replace it with new one.
IMPORTANT: Clogged air cleaner spoils engine performance. Also,
operation with no element or with deformed or damaged
element causes irregular wear outs of the engine
mechanism.
6.1.5- Fuel filter
Si l'essence n'arrive plus au carburateur, vérifié que le filtre à carburant ne soit pas bouché.
6.1.6- Air cooling vents
This engine is air-cooled.
Dust clogging between the inlet port of the cooling air and cylinder fins will cause overheating of the
engine.
Periodically check and clean the cylinder fins after removing the air cleaner and the cylinder cover.
6.1.7- Spark plug (Fig.19&20)
Starting failure and mis-firing are often caused by a fouled spark plug.
Clean the spark plug and check that the plug gap is in the correct range.
Important ! When setting up the spark plug, screw it by your fingers at
first, and then tighten by using special plug wrench.
Over tightening will damage the cylinder.
