4.5.2- Stopping the engine
1. Release the throttle lever (11) to allow the engine to idle for a few seconds.
2. Set the switch (8) to the "0" (OFF position). (Fig.2)
Note: If the engine won't stop when setting the ignition switch to the stop position, close the choke
lever and stop the engine. In such case, have the switch repaired or replaced by qualified personnel.
Important! During the first 20 working hours, do not use the hedge-trimmer at maximum power for
long periods.
4.5.3- Adjusting the idling speed
1. Before adjusting the carburetor, clean the air filter and warm up the
engine.
2. The idle screw (a) (Fig.7) is adjusted in order to ensure a good safety
margin between idle running and clutch engagement.
Warning! With the engine idling (2900 rpm), the blade should not move.
4.5.4- Adjusting the carburettor
The carburetor is adjusted in factory before shipment.
We recommend that you have the dealer or an authorized mechanic carry out any carburetor
adjustments.
V. OPERATION
5.1- Intended use
The hedge-trimmer must only be used to trim hedges or small bushes. It is forbidden to cut other
types of material
Do not use the machine for applications not described in this manual.
Do not use the machine as a lever to lift, move or break objects.
Do not block the machine on fixed supports.
Do not apply tools or applications (accessories) on the product that are not recommended by the
manufacturer.
Do not use the machine to prune trees or cut the grass.
The product is not intended for commercial, professional and / or industrial use (eg,. in public spaces
and parks, ...)
The product is intended for household use in private gardens.
5.2- Operation
WARNING! Weather conditions and altitude may affect carburation.
Do not allow anyone to stay close to the hedge trimmer while working or while
adjusting the carburetor
5.2.1- Adjustable handle
To reduce fatigue when trimming hedges, the handle can be swiveled
through 90° to the left or right.
Note: Do not press the throttle during this operation!
Proceed as follows:
1. Free the handle by pressing the locking lever (2)(Fig.8)
2. Turn the handle until the locking lever clicks into place,
3. When the handle is locked in its new position, you can apply the
throttle again.
Note: You can swivel the handle even with the engine idling because the hedge-trimmer is equipped
