The fans installed on the system has to be electronic (EC).
After an interval of 4 weeks of inactivity, a running period of 3-5 hours is recommended.
Cleaning the finned pack by using the fans is programmable by the controller, and consists of the activation of the fans at a preset
speed and for a preset duration, with inverted direction of rotation. The function starts only with the unit switched on (see controller
manual details).
5 QUALITY OF WATER SUPPLIED TO THE SYSTEM
For Emeritus to function correctly, the water in the system must have the following characteristics in compliance with Directive
98/93/CE concerning drinking water.
Additionalty the followings limit has to be considered:
Conductivity [µS/cm]
Fixed residue [mg/l]
Chlorides [mg/l]
Sulphates [mg/l]
Hardness[°f]
Indicative softener ratio [°f in / °f out]
PH
This primary source water must undergo a softening process before being nebulized to reduce hardness to a value between 4 and
6 °f.
•
Complete Emeritus system (spray + adiabatic panel): annual use is generally limited to 2000 hours; the value is automatically
balanced by the control system which modulates the water supplied to the exchanger and adiabatic panel depending on the
load and the ambient temperature.
•
System with adiabatic panel only: no limits are set for annual operation (if non-treated water is used, it is necessary to
increase water quantity by 30%).
•
System with spray only: annual use limited to 300 hours.
On request, LU-VE can offer a water treatment system. Contact LU-VE for more information.
In the event that water from an osmosis plant is used, a special version of the spray system is constructed in stainless steel at additional
cost. It is also necessary to add the special protective agent LU-WET 82 which is completely biodegradable. In this case, there are no
particular constraints on the maximum annual number of hours of operation of the Spray system.
