When adjusting Ion Balance the IB plate must be grounded every time after a change before
checking the measurement again.
This can be easily done by holding one finger on the alu contact at the left side from the FMX
and another finger on the IB balance plate.
6.1.8 Adjusting ion balance
Adjust the ion balance with the control knob of the Balance Control Kit:
-
Turn the control knob in the positive direction (clockwise) if the FMX indicates a negative ion
balance.
-
Turn the control knob in the negative direction (counter clockwise) if the FMX indicates a
positive ion balance.
-
Lock the knob when the ion balance is set properly.
6.1.9 Switch-off
-
Press the [POWER] button.
7 Controlling the operation of the neutralising equipment with the External
Balance Control Kit
The system works properly when the "Overload" indicator LED on the MPM is not lit. If
necessary, use a FMX-003 for checking the residual charge on the product. See manual of the
MPM and the neutralising equipment for more details.
See chapter 9 (faults) for troubleshooting.
