5.3 Connecting the External Balance Control Kit

Connect the 12-pin cable of the MPM to the MPM-connector of the Balance Control Kit. See
figures 5 and 6.

DIP switch 2 on the inside of the MPM must be in the "ON" position in order to activate the
Balance option. (See also the MPM manual for more information).

5.3.1 External Balance Control Kit with internal 24 V power supply (MPM)

For use with the internal 24 V power supply of the MPM: Connect the Balance Control Kit as
shown in figure 5.

Check if Jumper 1 is placed.

Connecting the "HV ON" output, "Overload" output and "Remote ON/OFF" input (remotely
ON/OFF switching of the high voltage) is optional.
The following steps describe how the "Remote ON/OFF" function, if desired, is activated:

DIP switch 1 on the inside of the MPM must be in the "ON" position in order to activate the
"Remote ON/OFF" option. (See also the MPM manual for more information).

The high voltage of the MPM is enabled when switch 1 or 2 is closed or when both switches
are closed.
