Important :
The communication between the DMX RDM controller and
the ARCALINE2 3G, which takes place through the existing
DMX line, is bi-directional.
It is therefore important that no DMX Booster/Splitter be inserted
between the DMX RDM controller and the ARCALINE2 3G,
as this type of device is typically uni_directional, and would
prevent the functioning of the DMX RDM protocol.
Certain DMX line boosters/splitters are now compatible with
DMX RDM and are therefore bi-directional.
To be on the safe side, it is preferable to connect the DMX
RDM directly to the DMX line wiring for the ARCALINE2 3G in
order to set their parameters.

USER MANUAL
Projector's ID number
It is worth noting that the detection and sorting of AYRTON
projectors such as the ARCALINE2 3G by a RDM DMX
(Remote Device Management) controller is achieved via the
unit's ID number. This is the number displayed on the RDM
DMX controller to identify the selected device.
The display of the unit's number on the RDM DMX controller
will be in the following format :
4179-0000XXXX
Details of this number from an RDM tool:
4179 is the specific AYRTON manufacturer code
XXXX is the ID number of the ARCALINE2 3G
(hexadecimal value)
This ID number appears on a label on all AYRTON projectors.
On the ARCALINE2 3G, this label is located on the unit's
body on the output end plate.
It is highly recommended to leave this label where it is on
the unit in order to facilitate the setting of parameters on the
ARCALINE2 3G with the help of a DMX RDM controller.
Similarly, as part of an permanent installation comprising
several ARCALINE2 3Gs, it is recommended that the installer
notes down the respective ID numbers on the set-up plan for
the projectors for each of the installed units, and to file this
plan to facilitate any subsequent work on this installation.
