For induction motor grids controlling the fan coil, the electric heater can be set to speeds between V2 and V4: the minimum speed,
V1, is not used. This control is automatic and does not require any values to be manually input into the electrical box. For both
these modes of control, the heater is activated according to pre-ventilation and post-ventilation presets (see previous table) to stop
protection thermostats from impeding their functions.

ELECTRIC HEATER SAFETY THERMOSTAT
The control software checks that the heater is working properly, by checking the following:
Electric heater temperature
Absence of heater
The temperature of the heater is measured by reading the NTC probe, which indicates the operating temperature of the device,
and the fault check process follows the steps described in the figure below. The check for the absence of a heater checks that the
temperature reaches at least 50 °C after the heater has been activated for 300 seconds. The heater alarm (which is triggered by the
combination of the temperature or absence check) is a fault which inhibits the operation of the heater. In order to reactivate the
device, the power supply to the thermostat must be shut off.

MOTORISED FLAPS

GLF grid thermostats have two outputs for stepper motor control that can be used to control the flaps. There are two ways to manage
these:
1) Hold them in a fixed position
2) Swing
In the VMF-E4X user interface, the flap position is dictated by the FLP parameter:
If FLP = 101 >, this activates the Swing function
If 0 < FLP <= 100, the value is a percentage and indicates the position of the ventilation flap.
When using the VMF-IR remote control, you can activate the Swing function with the "SWING" button. When not in swing function, the
flaps will be open to maximum ventilation position.
