17.2 Troubleshooting Charger

Condition LED on Charger
Battery not being LED flashes red.

BGA 56
Cause
Normal battery life has been
exceeded
Guides or contacts in battery
compartment dirty.
Battery too hot or too cold.
Cause
No electrical contact
between charger and
battery.
Malfunction in charger.
Remedy
► Replace the battery.
► Clean guides or contacts in battery compartment,
@ 15.1.
► Leave battery in the charger.
Charge process starts automatically as soon as
permissible temperature range is reached.
Remedy
► Remove the battery.
► Clean contacts on charger, @ 15.3.
► Fit the battery.
► Contact your STIHL servicing dealer.
