8. Registering the speed controller as a sensor at the trans-
mitter
For transmitters which lack internal voltage stabilisation, e.g. T10J,
T14SG and T18MZ, the controller is connected directly to the S.BUS
(S.I/F) socket. Since the speed controller features a BEC power sup-
ply, a supplementary Y-lead or battery is not required.
Akku
Important note:
The FX22 and FX32 transmitters feature an internal 5V power
supply which is used for programming servos and sensors. Di-
rectly connecting the speed controller's 5 V BEC supply could
destroy this circuit. It is therefore essential to remove the posi-
tive (red) wire from the connector attached to the receiver lead.
For more information on this please read Chapter 3 "Disabling
BEC".

To see a display of the sensor data on the transmitter, the speed
controller must be registered at the transmitter.
- First connect the receiver lead to the S.BUS socket on the
transmitter.
- A flight battery (6V - 25V / 5 NiXX ... 6S LiPo) must now be
connected to the speed controller's "Flight battery" socket.
- Open the "SENSOR" menu in the transmitter's Base menu.
- Move to page 7 of the menu, and press "REGISTER".
After the security query the sensor is registered automatically, and the
sensors are assigned automatically to the correct slot.
The following display appears:

SERIaL NUMBER
The sensor is assigned a unique serial number, with which it is reg-
istered to the system. The number will be found on the unit as well
as in the instructions. It is vital to store the number safely in case you
need to regenerate it.
9. Changing the S.BUS2 channel

T14SG and T18MZ, the controller is connected directly to the S.BUS
(S.I/F) socket. Since the speed controller features a BEC power sup-
ply, a supplementary Y-lead or battery is not required.

tive (red) wire from the connector attached to the receiver lead.

For changing the S.Bus channel-numbers you can use your transmitter
or the software „PC link" which you will find under www.futaba-rc.com.
Note:
At present it is only possible to change the S.BUS channel with T14SG
/ FX-22 transmitters with update V4.0. The software of the other te-
lemetry transmitters is currently being updated; please check on our
website whether a new update is available for your transmitter.

Plug the sensor into the
S.BUS2 output of your te-
lemetry
receiver,
directly or via a Y-lead or
S.BUS2
HUB lead.

The receiver is powered by
the speed controller's BEC

supply.
If the receiver is already
powered
by
source, disable the control-
ler's BEC voltage (see Dis-
abling the BEC voltage).
