10.2.2 Condensation run-off
 Take off the housing cover and remove the
air filter ( Chapter 6.2).
 Fit the ¾" condensation run-off hose to the
condensation run-off connectors correctly
(extension hose to be supplied by
customer).
 Create a siphon with the hose (→ picture).
The siphon ( figure) needs a
NOTICE
water seal head of at least
50 mm. Install an open drip
funnel with another siphon at
the drainage system, to
receive the condensation. This
disconnects brine register
EW-K 225 from the drainage
system and it prevents a build up
of germs at the register.
It is not permitted to install
NOTICE
several siphons one after the
other without duct separation.
Water seal

50 mm
 If there is high humidity in the room where
the unit is installed, insulate the drain hose
and the condensation run-off connection to
avoid condensation.
 Now pour some water into the EW-K 225
brine register's condensation drain and
check that the connection is water-tight.
 Position the G4 air filter into the housing.
 Fix the housing cover in place.

10.3 Connecting ventilation channels

Damage to the unit caused by
NOTICE
objects in the ventilation
channels.
 First install the brine register.
 Make sure that no objects fall
into the connectors and that
there are no objects in the
ventilation channels.
 Insulate the outside air and brine ducts
(diffusion resistant), in order to avoid the
build up of condensation on the outside of
the outside air channel and the brine duct.
The duct insulation must be done using the
best materials available.
 Mask the joints well and decouple the wall
and roof outlets with strips of insulation.
 Use ducting that is made of the best
available materials.
