5. Insert an 3mm hex wrench into the back of the needle guide
shaft (Fig. 21, item 1).
6. Hold the trigger guide (2) with a wrench and turn the 3mm
hex wrench counterclockwise to remove the retaining nut.
7. Pull the needle guide shaft (1) out of the gun body. Do not
lose the trigger guide (2)

Replacing the air valve seals
1. Remove the old rear air valve seal (Fig. 22, item 1). It may
stay on the end of the needle guide shaft spring (2) or in the
material flow adjustment housing (3).
2. Slide the new rear seal (1) into the material adjustment
housing (3).
3. Remove the front seal retaining clip (4) using a snap-ring
pliers.
4. Slide the old front air valve seal (5) off of the needle guide
shaft (6).
5. Place the new front air valve seal on the needle guide shaft
with the beveled side (Fig. 23, item 1) facing the gun.

Make sure that the new front air valve seal looks like
the one that was just removed.
6. Snap the front seal retaining clip (Fig. 22, item 4) onto the
needle guide shaft (6).
i When replacing the needle guide shaft and the
trigger guide, secure the trigger guide in an
adjustable wrench. This will hold it in place while
the needle guide shaft is reinstalled.

Removing / replacing the packing
1. With the two sections of the gun still separated, remove the
needle.
2. Remove the packing nut (Fig. 24, item 1) using a 10mm
wrench.
3. Remove the packing (2) from the packing nut (1).

Make sure all of the old packing is removed before
installing the new packing.
4. Place the new packing into the packing hole.
5. Thread the packing nut one turn into the packing hole. Do
not tighten.
6. Replace needle into packing nut.
7. Tighten the packing nut securely using a 10mm wrench, then
loosen the packing nut a quarter turn.
8. Pull the trigger to make certain the needle moves freely. If
the needle sticks, loosen the packing nut. If the packing leaks,
tighten the packing nut.
