CAUTION
Risk of falls due to improper use. Explain the func-
tion and effects of the RGO hip joint system to your
patients and to those persons who must be famili-
arized with handling of the joint system.
CAUTION
Risk of injury as a result of improper use. No
modifications may be made to the RGO hip joint
system, other than the tasks described in these In-
structions for Use.
Disassembly and repair of the sitting and walking
joints may only be performed by Ottobock staff.
CAUTION
Incorrect alignment or assembly
Injuries due to changes in or loss of functionality
X The product may only be installed by trained,
qualified personnel.
X Observe the alignment and assembly instructions.
X Inform the patient.

Mechanical damage to the product
Injuries due to changes in or loss of functionality
X Use caution when working with the product.
X Check the product for proper function and rea-
diness for use.
X In case of changes in or loss of functionality, do
not continue using the product.
X Take any necessary measures (e.g. repair, re-
placement, inspection by the manufacturer's
customer service etc.).
X Inform the patient.
CAUTION
Excessive strain on load-bearing components
Injuries due to changes in or loss of functionality
X Only use the product for the defined area of
application.
X If the product has been exposed to extreme
strain (e.g. due to falling), take any necessary
measures (e.g. repair, replacement, inspection
by the manufacturer's customer service etc.).
X Inform the patient.

NOTICE
Exposure of the product to unsuitable environ-
mental conditions
Damage, brittleness or destruction due to improper
handling
X Avoid storage in condensing ambient humidity.
X Avoid contact with abrasive substances (e.g.
sand, dust).
X Do not expose the product to temperatures below
-10 °C or above +60 °C (e.g. sauna, excessive
sunlight, drying on a radiator).
X Inform the patient.
