Starting up
handset of the type FC4 or IH4.
The D11 uses the log-in data, device settings and telephone directory
entries stored on the FC4- or IH4 MEM card.
Additions and changes to the telephone directory as well as further log-
ging in to telecom systems are possible in this operating mode and are
stored similarly on the FC4 or IH4 MEM card.
All logins to telecom systems that has been performed by the D11 with-
out a MEM card (see Operation without MEM card), can be neither seen
nor selected when operating with an FC4 or an IH4 MEM card. These
logins can only be used again once the MEM card has been removed.
If your business handset has not yet been assembled
If your business handset has not yet been assembled when you receive it, the
following steps are required to start up the D11:
If the D11 replaces a DECT™ handset of type D3, FC1, FC4 or IH4 that
is already enrolled then the MEM card with the login data of the D3-,
FC1-, FC4 or IH4 handset that is to be replaced must be placed in the
D11.
If no MEM card is placed in the D11, the D11 is in the "Operating mode
without MEM card"!
Fit the battery.
Pull the protective film from the display.
Set up and connect the charger.
If you wish to operate the D11 in the "operating mode without MEM card",
then the system coordinator of the telephone system or a service technician
must log in the handset on your telephone system.
Exception: If you wish to operate the D11 with a MEM card and the login
data of a D3, FC1, FC4 or IH4, take note of Section „Information regarding
the use of MEM cards of the D3, FC1, FC4 or IH4 handsets" on page 141
below.
The handset is then ready to operate.
