Safety information

Handling the batteries , dispatch, storage, changing batteriesl

Use batteries compatible with the system with the serial number
5010760300 from the funktel spare part range.
Use the batteries properly. Funktel GmbH will not assume any liability for
damage resulting from improper battery use.
If, in extreme cases, batteries become leaky, liquid (electrolyte) or gases
may escape. Unusual deposits on the battery or on the device as well as
unusual or pungent smells are indications of leaks. Switch off the device
and hand it over to the service department.
Protect yourself against affects on your health posed by leaky batteries
(e.g. against skin irritation, burns or poisoning) by avoiding direct skin con-
tact with the electrolyte that has flowed out and the inhalation of escaping
gases. In case of doubt, consult a doctor!
Switch off the handset before dispatching it or storing for an extended pe-
riod. Store or transport the handset and the battery in suitable, non-conduc-
tive packaging. Use the original packaging if possible. An approximately
30% level of charge is optimal for storage of the battery. During extended
storage periods, the battery of the handset should be recharged to about
30% of its capacity recharged every 6 to 24 months. During long-term stor-
age, the storage temperature of the battery should be below the usual room
temperature, e.g. between 0 °C und 15 °C.
Do not throw the battery into the fire as it might explode.
Do not short-circuit the battery contacts by touching them with conductive
objects (metal, wire, tools, coins, electrically conductive packaging mate-
rial). If the battery contacts are connected to each other conductively, the
battery discharges.
The battery is a wear part. A lithium-ion battery slowly loses its original per-
formance (capacity) due to age and usage as well as lengthy storage.
Such capacity losses are normal and will not give rise to a warranty claim.
