8 .00 Fitting Multi support sling – lifting leg from bed
Tuck the sling in under the leg, where it
is most appropriate for the care task to
be performed.
Attach the lifting straps to the lifting hanger.
To lift the patient's leg while his/her knee is
bent, place the sling under the top half of
the lower leg.
To lift the patient's leg while his/her knee is
extended, place the sling under the bottom
half of the lower leg. If necessary, support
the patient's thigh with a pillow or a bend
in the bed.
