BASIC SAFETY REQUIREMENTS - CONTINUED
The pumps comply with the basic health and safety requirements of the EU. However, dangerous situations may still occur.
The pumps must only be used and operated when in proper operating condition and in accordance with these operating instruc-
tions. Any faults which might tend to impair safety must be rectified immediately.
• The product must not be used for any other purpose than that specified by the manufacturer. This may cause unforeseeable
risks.
• Local work and safety regulations and laws must be followed at all times. The same applies for environmental regulations.
• If any faults or dangers are identified, personnel must inform the operator or his representative immediately.
• Safety devices must never be removed or bypassed during normal operation of the product.
• If safety devices have to be removed or dismantled during maintenance or repair work, they must be refitted and tested im-
mediately on completion of the maintenance or repair work.
• Work on technical equipment (e.g. electrics) may only be carried out by qualified, specialist personnel.
• Take special care when working with electric motors. They become hot during operation. Allow motor to cool down before
starting repair work. If this is not possible, take suitable precautions, e.g. wear protective gloves.
• Personnel undergoing training or instruction may only work on the pumps under the continual supervision of an experienced
person.
• All safety instructions and warnings on the product must be kept in a clearly legible condition at all times.
• Hot parts must not be allowed to come into contact with explosives or highly flammable chemicals.
Safety Devices and Regulations
Protective devices may only be removed or deactivated by suitable authorized persons, and only when this is absolutely necessary
for the performance of specific work. Protective devices must be reactivated and tested immediately.
Work on electrical components must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with accepted technical practices.
The operating instructions provided by the motor manufacturer (if applicable) must be followed at all times.
The electrical equipment of the pump must be inspected and checked regularly. Faults such as loose connections or damaged
cables must be corrected immediately.

There are a multitude of factors that contribute to the life of your pool.
Please be aware that over time, deterioration, discoloration and brittleness of any pool finish can be caused separately by, or in
combination with, age, an imbalance in pool water chemistry, improper installation and other factors.
The same situation holds true for vinyl-lined in-ground swimming pools, because vinyl liners are also affected by the environment and
factors such as pool water chemistry, sunlight and the pool's surroundings. Therefore over time, vinyl can become brittle and weak. In
addition, vinyl-lined pools are affected by the workmanship, composition and installation of the liner and the workmanship and quality
of construction of the supporting walls and pool base. These are all factors which can contribute to liner failure. The manufacturer
disclaims any liability for repairs or replacement to any of these structures or components of the customer's pool.
The pool owner must assume all responsibility for the condition and maintenance of the pool's surface, water and deck.
Before the BLUEFLO® is installed, please take a moment to record the serial number. You will be asked for this number when
you contact our Technical Support Department.
