INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE LEFT DOOR:
A.
Remove the damaged gasket.
EN
B.
Apply a thin bead of adhesive (red high
temperature silicone (RTV) or wood stove gasket
cement) in the top, sides and bottom gasket
grooves. The adhesive should follow the same
path as the gasket illustrated in Figures 1 and 2.
C.
Wrap a piece of tape around one end of the
1/2"(12.7mm) gasket and cut through the center.
This will stop the gasket from fraying.
D.
Place the taped end of the gasket centered in the
groove at the bottom of the door. Without stretching
or compressing the gasket, lay it naturally into the
groove, on top of the adhesive as a continuous
loop, as shown in Figures 1 and 2.
E.
When you return to the other end of the gasket,
wrap a piece of tape around the other end of the
gasket and cut through the center, refer to Figures
1 and 2.
10.7 CARE OF GLASS
If the glass is not kept clean permanent discolouration and / or
blemishes may result. Normally a hot fi re will clean the glass.
The most common reasons for dirty glass include: not using
suffi cient fuel to get the appliance thoroughly hot, using green
or wet wood, closing the draft so far that there is insuffi cient air
for complete combustion.
If it is necessary to clean the glass, buff lightly with a clean dry
cloth and non-abrasive cleaner.
DO NOT CLEAN GLASS WHEN HOT! Clean the glass after the fi rst 10 hours of operation with a
recommended appliance glass cleaner. Thereafter clean as required.
The glass is very strong but do not let burning fuel rest or fall against it and always close the door gently.
NEVER FORCE IT SHUT!
If the glass should ever crack or break while the fi re is burning, do not open the door until the fi re is out and do
not operate the appliance again until the glass has been replaced, available from your Authorized dealer. DO
NOT SUBSTITUTE MATERIALS.
