Gerät aufstellen und anschließen
Die Steuer- und die Laufwerkeinheit sind für die
A
Montage in ein Rack (482 mm/19") vorgesehen,
können aber auch als freistehende Tischgeräte ver-

wendet werden. Die Laufwerkeinheit muß auf jeden
Fall waagerecht betrieben werden, während die
Steuereinheit beliebig, z. B. auch gekippt, eingebaut
werden kann. Für den Einbau in ein Rack werden für
die Steuereinheit 3 HE (HE = Höheneinheit =
44,45 mm) und für die Laufwerkeinheit 2 HE
benötigt.
Vor dem Anschluß bzw. vor dem Verändern von An-
schlüssen den CD-Spieler und die anzuschließen-
den Geräte ausschalten.
1) Die Steuereinheit und die Laufwerkeinheit mit
dem beiliegenden Anschlußkabel über die jewei-
lige 8polige Buchse auf den Geräterückseiten
verbinden. Dabei das Kabelende mit der Entstör-
drossel (kleines Kästchen) in die Buchse (26) der
Laufwerkeinheit stecken.
2) Sind an Ihrem Mischpult oder Verstärker Digital-
eingänge vorhanden, diese an die Digitalaus-
gänge DIGITAL OUT (24 + 27) anschließen.
Bei Geräten ohne Digitaleingang die Stereo-
Ausgänge LINE OUT (25 + 29) – linker Kanal L und
rechter Kanal R – über Cinch-Kabel mit den ent-
sprechenden CD-Spieler-Eingängen am Misch-
pult oder am Verstärker verbinden.
3) Der CD-Spieler kann über ein Mischpult mit Kon-
taktsteuerung gestartet bzw. auf Pause geschal-
tet werden. Zum Anschluß der Steuerverbindung
siehe Kap. 5.
4) Zuletzt den Netzstecker in eine Steckdose
(230 V~/50 Hz) stecken.

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with the letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.

Installation and Connection of the
Unit
The control unit and the player mechanism unit are
provided for mounting into a rack (482 mm/19"), but
they can also be used as table top units. The player
mechanism unit must in any case be operated hori-
zontally, while the control unit can also be installed
as desired, e. g. even in a tilted position. For rack
mounting of the control unit 3 rack spaces (1 rack
space = 44.45 mm) are required and 2 rack spaces
for the player mechanism.
Prior to the connection or changing of connections
switch off the CD player and the units to be connected.
1) Connect the control unit and the player mechanism
unit with the supplied cable via the respective 8-
pole jack on the rear panels of the units. Plug the
cable end with the anti-interference choke (small
box) into the jack (26) of the player mechanism unit.
2) If your mixer or amplifier is provided with digital
inputs, connect them to the digital outputs DIGI-
TAL OUT (24 + 27).
In case of units without digital input connect
the stereo outputs LINE OUT (25 + 29) – left
channel L and right channel R – via a cable with
phono connectors to the corresponding CD
player inputs of the mixer or amplifier.
3) The CD player may be started or switched to
pause via a mixer with contact control. To con-
nect the control connection see chapter 5.
4) Finally plug the mains plug into a mains socket
(230 V~/50 Hz).

Bedienung
Im folgenden Text wird die
Laufwerks 1 beschrieben. Die Bedienung des Lauf-
werks 2 ist vollkommen identisch.
4.1 CD abspielen
1) Mit dem Ein-/Ausschalter POWER (21) den CD-
Spieler einschalten. Wenn keine CD eingelegt ist,
zeigt das Display (3) nach kurzer Zeit „nodisc".
2) Mit der Taste OPEN/CLOSE (5 oder 20) die CD-
Schublade (19) öffnen. Im Display erscheint
„OPEN".
3) Eine CD mit der Beschriftung nach oben einlegen,
und mit der Taste OPEN/CLOSE die CD-Schub-
lade wieder schließen. Nach kurzer Zeit zeigt das
Display die Titelanzahl (h) und die Gesamt-
spieldauer (i) der CD an. Anschließend wird die
Spieldauer des ersten Titels (i) angegeben.
[Soll nach dem Einlegen der CD sofort der
erste Titel starten, die CD-Schublade mit der
Taste
(14) schließen.]
4) Zum Starten mit dem ersten Titel die Taste
(14) drücken (falls die CD-Schublade mit der
Taste OPEN/CLOSE geschlossen wurde). So-
lange die CD abgespielt wird, zeigt das Display
das Symbol
(a).
Zum Starten mit einem anderen Titel ggf.
zuerst mit der Taste DTA SELECT (9) das ent-
sprechende Laufwerk anwählen. Die LEDs über
den Tasten DTA SELECT geben an, welches
Laufwerk angewählt ist. Anschließend mit den
Zifferntasten (18) die gewünschte Titelnummer
eintippen. Beispiele:

Operation
In the following text the operation of player mecha-
nism 1 is described. The operation of player mecha-
nism 2 is completely identical.
4.1 Playing a CD
1) Switch on the CD player with the On/off switch
POWER (21). If no CD has been inserted, the
display (3) shows "nodisc" after a short time.
2) Open the CD drawer (19) with button OPEN/
CLOSE (5 or 20). The display indicates "OPEN".
3) Insert a CD with the lettering facing upwards, and
close again the CD drawer with button OPEN/
CLOSE. After a short time the display shows the
title number (h) and the total playing time (i) of the
CD. Then the playing time of the first title (i) is
indicated.
[To start with the first title immediately after
inserting the CD, close the CD drawer with button
(14).]
4) To start with the first title, press button

auf Einzeltitelwiedergabe; das Display zeigt
„SINGLE" (e). Ist ein Titel zu Ende gespielt,
schaltet das Gerät am Anfang des nächsten
Titels auf Pause. Soll jedoch automatisch der
nächste Titel gespielt werden, muß mit der Taste
CONT./SINGLE (6) auf Gesamttitelwiedergabe
geschaltet werden. Das Display signalisiert
„CONTINUE" (c).
8) Soll das Abspielen einer CD vorzeitig beendet
werden, mit der Taste
Die CD-Schublade kann nun mit der Taste
OPEN/ CLOSE (5 oder 20) geöffnet werden.
Hinweis: Während der Wiedergabe ist die CD-
Schublade gegen unbeabsichtigtes Öffnen ver-
riegelt.
9) Vor dem Ausschalten des CD-Spielers immer
mit den Tasten OPEN/CLOSE die CD-Schub-
laden schließen, um die Laser-Abtastsysteme
vor Verschmutzung zu schützen. Erst dann das
Gerät mit dem Ein-/Ausschalter POWER (21) ab-
starten.

4.2 Indication of playing time and function

indicates the number (h) and the remaining time (i)
of the current title while replaying a CD and with
activated pause. To indicate the remaining time, the
display signalizes "REMAIN" (j). The time is shown
