Transport

Hold the control panel only by the housing and not by the electrical connection cable. Do not
knock or drop it.

Electrical connection

Observe the correct operating voltage (see "Technical data").

Never place the power plug in the water.
/
Only connect the control panel to properly installed sockets (according to VDE or EVU
regulations) which are protected by a 16 A miniature circuit breaker with delayed tripping
characteristic.

For submersible pumps of protection classification I, all exposed conductive parts are
connected with a protective earth conductor. Before the pump is put into operation, an
electrically skilled person must check that the protective earth cable is properly connected.

When operating pumps of protection class I, the following applies according to IEC 335-2-
41:1984, Amendment 1:1990: Pumps of protection class I intended for use in swimming pools
or garden ponds must be equipped with a residual-current device (max. 30 mA) in the supply
line. The pump may not be operated if any persons are in the pool.

Opening of the control panel is only permitted by authorized personnel.
Conversions or changes to the terminal housings are not permitted. Excluded
from this are the attachment of additional cable glands and the installation
of connection terminals within the scope of the approval of the equipment.
The control unit is to be operated as intended in undamaged and perfect condition.
Only original parts may be used as spare parts and for repairs.

Installation and maintenance work may only be carried out by a qualified specialist in
accordance with national regulations and within the scope of the electrostatics regulation to
take suitable protective measures (earthing / protective conductor connection).
