f) Assembly of the Exhaust Dummies
The model includes two plastic exhaust dummies with matching spacer
discs.
These exhaust dummies are attached to the left and right of the motor
hood.
Glue the spacer discs on with suitable glue (e.g. instant glue) as shown
in the figure (1).
Then attach the exhaust dummies (2) and secure them with suitable
glue (e.g. instant glue).
g) Installing the Receiver
Connect all servos to the assigned receiver outputs of the intended
receiver according to the requirements of the operating instructions of
your remote control.
The model includes three Y-cables for simple 5-channel remote controls.
These Y-cables are included to operate the rudder servo together with
the nose landing gear steering servo to a joint receiver output.
In the same manner, the two servos for the aileron and servos of the
retractable landing gears are connected.
Practical advice:
For a model like the "PC-21", we recommend use of a state-of-the-art
2.4 GHz computer remote control system with mixing functions.
In this case, you have the option of putting every servo to a separate
receiver output to thus set every servo individually.
Once you have checked the function of the connected servos and the
flight controller, attach the receiver (1) with double-sided adhesive tape
or servo tape in the intended area as illustrated at a later time. Also
observe the information in the chapter "Model Commissioning".
The aerial wire or a 35/40 MHz remote control is guided to the rear to
an opening in the fuselage floor. It has shown practical to fasten the
aerial thread in a piece of Bowden cable tube in the fuselage. Remote
controls with 2.4 GHz only have short receiver aerials that can be easily
placed in the fuselage.
