Residual risks

Safeguards may become ineffective if the devices are not used according to the
chemical resistance chart.
Further residual risks that are linked with the repair or maintenance of the high
viscosity liquid pump cannot be reduced constructive or by taken further precautions.
If necessary, they are mentioned at the appropriate passage.
Information
Always observe the chemical resistance chart when selecting
motor, pump, hand nozzles and hoses.

Original Operating Instructions High Viscosity Liquid Pump F 550 and Sanitary Pump F 560
For use in hazardous locations only use explosion-proof electric
motors which are approved for category 2 (ZONE 1) or com-
pressed air motors.
For transferring liquids of explosion groups IIA and IIB and tem-
perature class T1 to T4, only pumps which are certified for use in
category 1 (ZONE 0) must be used.
If the motors are operated together with the pump, comprehen-
sive, clear equipotential bonding is essential (earthing).
Connect the electric motor with an explosion-proof plug or via an
explosion-proof cable terminal box.
For equipotential bonding, an electrically conductive connection
must be produced between the motor and the pump according to
EN 60079-14.
The high viscosity liquid pumps must be arranged in a way to
avoid friction and impact sparks and to allow safe operation.
Repair on explosion-proof motors may only be carried out by the
manufacturer or by an authorised repair shop.
When pumping non-conductive liquids, there is a risk of the circu-
lated liquid becoming electrostatically charged.
Make sure to prevent any ignition hazards.
The ex-protected motor, gear and coupling must be located out-
side the mobile container.
The hose used must be sufficiently conductive (see TRbF 50
annex B).
Observe the Technical Guidelines for "Flammable Liquids"
(TRbF) and the explosion protection guidelines of the Employer's
Liability Insurance Association of the Chemical Industry (BG
Chemie) during installation and operation.
Regularly check the motors according to the relevant national
safety regulations and/or rules for prevention of accidents. (In the
Federal Republic of Germany these are for example BGV A3).
