▷ Using the collet torque wrench, unscrew the col-
let out of the spindle.

▷ Clean the collet holder using the felt cone [3].
The collet holder must be free of shavings/chips
and debris.

▷ Clean the inside of the collet with the fine collet
brush [2].

▷ Apply a light coat of the collet grease ([1] in
Fig. 19 on page 59) from the service set to the
outer cone of the collet.
This improves the sliding properties and
increases the clamping force of the collet.
NOTE:
Only use the provided collet grease for lubrica-
tion of the collet cone. Do not use other types of
grease.
▷ Screw the cleaned and lubricated collet in
reverse order to the stop back into the spindle.
C/L nozzles
Do not clean the C/L nozzles with the col-
let brush!
▷ Inspect the C/L nozzles weekly.
▷ Clean the outlet holes as required.
When the outlet holes are clogged:
▷ Loosen the Allen screw on the side of the spin-
dle cap.
