Safety instructions

Note
Electronics modules contain electrostatically sensitive devices. Improper hand-
ling can cause damage to the electronic modules.
S Observe the handling specifications for electrostatically sensitive devices.
S Discharge yourself before installing or removing sub-assemblies to protect
the sub-assemblies from static discharges.
Note
Channel 1 and channel 2 must be connected at least once a week to ensure that
the channels work properly.

Transport and storage conditions

During transportation and storage, protect the product against excessive
stresses such as mechanical loads, excessive temperatures, humidity and
aggressive atmospheres.
S
Store and transport the product in the original packaging. The original pack-
aging provides adequate protection against normal loads.

Intended use

The module can provide its intended safety function:
– Safe disconnection of connected loads
if the connected loads are in a safe condition when disconnected.
This function is achieved by two-channel disconnection of the following load
voltage supplies in the CPX terminal.
– Load voltage supply line for valves U
This is used to supply valve terminal pneumatic modules in the CPX terminal
fitted on the right-hand side
– Two outputs provided by the module connection technology (module channel 1
and channel 2).
