No communication between PC
and RET control / t
Er 3
Temperature inside unit is higher
than 80 °C
Er 4
Difference between setpoint and
actual speeds is greater than
300 rpm.
Er 5
No temperature increase measured
by temperature sensor where
temperature difference remains the
same (after approx. 3 minutes).
Er 8
The calibration value of the tempe-
rature sensor is outside the limit
value.
Er 9
Fault storing the safety circuit set-
point temperatures.
Er 11
Temperature sensor unplugged.

Cause
• When the unit was switched on in
the mode A, the temperature sensor
was not plugged in
• PC does not send any data during
the watchdog time.
• The connection/cable to the PC is
broken.
• Build up of heat between the heating
plate and the casing.
• Permitted ambient temperature has
been exceeded.
• Motor seized or overloaded.
• Sensor not in medium.
• Volume of heat transfer medium
too large.
• Medium heat transfer rating is too low.
• Heat temperature rating of the vessel.
is too low.
• With indirect heating the total heat
transfer resistance is too high.
• Fault in calibration procedure.
• Value was incorrectly stored to memory.
• EEPROM switching error.
• EEPROM fault
• Medium temperature sensor 1 or 2
(PT 100 or PT 1000) was unplugged
during an operating cycle.
Effect
Solution
The heating remains
• Switch off the unit, plug in the tempera-
switched off
ture sensor, switch on the unit
• Switch over the operating mode
Heating OFF
• Change the watchdog time.
Motor OFF
• Send data from the PC within the
watchdog time (OUT_WDx@m).
• Check the connector cable and plug.
Heating OFF
• Switch off the unit. Allow it to cool down
and then switch on again.
• Change test process.
• Restore ambient temperature to within
the permitted maximum.
Heating OFF
• Reduce the torque load, e.g. use smaller
Motor OFF
magnetic bars.
• Reduce the setpoint speed.
Heating OFF
• Immerse the sensor in the medium.
• Reduce medium volume.
• Use a heat transfer oil with a better heat
transfer rating.
• Use a metal vessel in place of a glass
vessel.
Heating OFF
• Repeat the calibration procedure.
Heating OFF
• Switch off the unit. Allow it to cool down
and then switch on again.
Heating OFF
• Only unplug the temperature sensor
when the unit is switched off.
