Tips for using labworldsoft
• The safety temperatures (SAFE H, SAFE P) must be set to match
the test conditions set on the RET control / t also when you are
using labworldsoft.
• If the setpoint settings in labworldsoft exceed the setpoint value
range or the safety temperature set on the RET control / t, the
labworldsoft settings will not be accepted. The speed setpoint
must not exceed 1200 rpm.
• If the ramp function is used to increase gradually the medium
setpoint temperature , the system variation and the control hys-
teresis can be greater than they would be if a setpoint tempera-
ture is entered directly.
• Heating plate temperature control in critical processes should
only be used by experienced users. Critical processes in this
case refers to the testing of large volumes under poor control
conditions with a single medium temperature setpoint setting.
• When a watchdog mode is enabled, the watchdog time must be
set at 20 times the sensing time. This is to prevent process
delays, caused by parallel programs (e.g. Excel) or devices (e.g.
NPort-Server), from triggering an Error 2 (watchdog time time-
out).

Faults
A unit fault is indicated by the red flashing LED "Temp" (flashing
in one second intervals) and the display of an error code number
"Er n" on the display (see the error code table). The buzzer also
sounds.
To switch off the warning buzzer, press the foil key "Mode".
The heating will be powered down (exception: WD – see table).
Following a fault in the heating circuit, the stirring function will
continue to operate at the speed set before the fault took place
(exception: WD - see table).
To reset a fault, switch off the unit at the main switch ON/OFF for
a few seconds. The unit should remain off long enough for the
temperature to settle (the residual heat display must be OFF, see
the residual heat display).
When the unit is switched on again, the safety circuit test is run
within 20 seconds. After this the other test/monitoring functions
are enabled.
If the fault will not clear, you must run a RESET cycle (see
section 9.1 "Resetting parameters" to factory settings
(RESET)).
If a RESET cycle does not clear the fault, take the device to
your technical service center.
