Medium Temperature Control Without External Temperature Sensors; Residual Heat Warning (Hot) - IKA RET control /t Mode D'emploi

Publicité

The setpoint temperature dis-
played is for the reaction medi-
um temperature. The actual
temperature of the reaction
medium is shown in large figu-
res to the left of the setpoint
temperature.
The heating plate temperature
and the heat transfer medium
temperature are limited by the
heating plate safety temperatu-
re (SAFE H) setting. The reac-
tion medium temperature is
limited by the medium safety
temperature (SAFE P) setting.
The reaction medium tempe-
rature is controlled and regula-
ted by a fuzzy logic controller.
The controller is optimised by
the heat transfer medium tem-
perature. This ensures that the
reaction medium is heated as quickly as possible without excee-
ding the set temperature. The fuzzy logic controller automatically
adjusts to various heating capacities of different vessels and their
content. This system ensures optimum temperature control wit-
hout temperature drift or fluctuations.

Medium temperature control without
external temperature sensors
This is not possible in operation mode A.
Medium temperature control using external temperature sensors
is more precise that standard heating plate temperature control.
The operation without PT 100 is digitally shown by the symbol
"PROBE" blinking. The display rated and real temperature refer to
the temperature of the heating plate.

Residual heat warning (HOT)

In order to prevent the risk of burns from a hot heating plate, the
RET control / t has a residual heat (HOT) warning function.
When the heating function is switched off and the heating plate
temperature is still above 50 °C, the green LED "Temp" will flash.
The digital display will switch backwards and forwards between
"Setpoint temperature+ °C" and "Setpoint temperature + HOT"
as a warning that the plate is still hot.
If the main ON/OFF switch on the unit is switched off, the display
will remain active and the message "—-" will flash in the area of
the actual value display area. In this state the stirring function can
be switched on and the setpoint speed can also be modified.
If the heating plate temperature drops to below 50 °C, the unit will
automatically switch off. The display will be switched off and the
unit electronics will be powered down by a relay. If you have to
switch the heating plate off suddenly when the heating plate is
still hot, you must switch the main ON/OFF switch on and then off
again rapidly.
The residual heat warning function will not operate in the event of
a mains power failure or if the power plug is pulled out of the
socket.
