materials,
a suitable disinfection agent with proven efficacy is used (e. g.
•
VAH / DGHM or FDA-approved or with CE label) and that it is compatible
with the cleaning agent used, and
that the chemicals used are compatible with the instruments.

Validated program sequence:
Pre-cleaning: Rinsing temperature: 10 °C ± 2 °C (50 °F±36 °F),
insertion time: 1 min
Cleaning: Cleaning temperature: 70 °C ± 2 °C (158 °F±36 °F),
insertion time: 5 min, cleaning agent: deconex ALKA One-x,
concentration 0.5 % (5 ml/l)
Final rinse: Rinsing temperature 10 °C ± 2 °C (50 °F±36 °F),
insertion time: 1 min
Thermal disinfection for mechanical treatment 90 °C±2 °C, (194 °F±36 °F)
insertion time: 5 min
Immersion in disinfectant solution. Observe manufacturer's information on
concentration, exposure time and temperature. Observe material compatibility
(see chapter 4.2.2, page 27), 90 °C (194 °F), min. 5 minutes.
Check forceps for damage prior to each use.
Withdraw damaged forceps from service immediately.
Similar to silver, the polished stainless steel tips of the NON-STICK
forceps can tarnish. However, this has no negative effect on the functioning of
the instruments. The original shine can be re-established by wiping the tips
with a silver polishing cloth.
Use certified sterile packing (e. g. according to EN 868, ISO 11607) or sterile
containers.
Prior to sterilization, forceps must be cleaned, disinfected, rinsed with distilled
water and finally dried carefully.
