Switch the device on off by pressing and holding the
button (9).
The device switches off automatically after a longer
period of inactivity.
2.
Unit selection
Pressing the button (10) switches between units: m/
ft/in the selected unit is shown on the display
3.
Reference point
Pressing the button (8) changes the measurements
reference point. For the reference point at the front
of the digital laser measure, the display will indicate
, and for the point at the end of the
digitallaser measure it will indicate
.
4.
Backlight
When the device is on, in order to turn the display
backlight on/off, press and hold button (8). The
backlight turns off automatically after 60 second of
inactivity.
5.
Clear-off function
Press the button (9) once to activate the function.
Activating the function cancels the last instruction,
returns to previous steps and clears the measurement
results.
6.
Measurement history
Press the button (6) to enter the reading mode of
the saved measurement values. An indicator (A)
will appear on the display along with a number
(B), displaying the reading of the next saved
measurement. To toggle between subsequent
readings press buttons (1) and (3).
7.
Calibration
To enter the calibration mode, press and hold the
button (6) until the display shows a flashing indicator
. Meanwhile, press and hold the button (2)
until the display shows "CAL 0". The digit next to
the word "CAL" will flash to inform the user that
the device is in the calibration mode. The device
measurement error of is within the range of -7 ÷ 7
mm, using the buttons (1) and (3) set the preferred
value. To confirm the data entered and exit the
calibration mode, press the button (6)
8.
Other:
a)
signal strength
There is an indicator (C) on the display which informs
the user about the strength of the signal being
reflected.
b)
battery life indicator
The indicator (L) informs about the device battery
condition. Icon

Icon
- the battery is discharged, and must be
replaced with a new one.
3.3.2. MEASUREMENT FUNCTIONS
1.
Distance measurement (single measurement)
While the laser is off, press the button (2) to activate
the function. The " ", icon will appear on the display
and the laser will lock the target measurement point.
Press the button (2) again to measure the distance;
the value will then be shown on the display.
2.
Distance measurement (continuous measurement)
While the laser is on, press and hold button (2) for
approx. 2s. The device will go into the continuous
measurement mode, ie the measurement indicated
in the main area of the display will show the data
measured in real time, and the additional area will
display the minimum and maximum value measured
during a continuous measurement. To exit the mode
press the button (2) or (10).
3.
Surface measurement
Press the button (5), the display will show an icon
(F1) informing that the device has entered the
parallelogram-shaped surface measurement mode.
When the longer side of the parallelogram (F1)
is flashing, take the measurement of the longer
edge of the measured surface. Measure it by
pressing the button (2). When the shorter edge
of the parallelogram (F1) starts flashing, take the
8
measurement of the shorter edge of the measured
surface by pressing the button (2). The device will
automatically calculate the parallelogram area, and
it will be shown in the main display area (E). Edge
measurements are displayed in the additional
area (D). Press the button (2) to delete the last
measurement and start a new one. To exit the mode,
press the button (10).
4.
Volume measurement
Press the button (5), an icon (F2) will appear on
the display, informing the user that the device has
entered the volume measurement mode. The edges
of a cuboid, blinking one after another, showing
its length, width and height, will indicate which
size should be currently measured. Measurements
are made by pressing button (2). Having taken the
measurements of all three distances, the device
will automatically calculate the volume and display
it in the main display area (E), the distances will be
displayed in the additional area (D). Press the button
(2) to delete the last measurement and start a new
one. To exit the mode, press the button (10).
5.
Indirect measurements using the Pythagorean
theorem.
In
order
to
select
which
of
the
following
measurements was to be performed, press the
button (7) until the appropriate icon (H1), (H2) or
(H3) appears on the display, depending on the
function you want to select.
a)
2-point measurement Entering this measurement
mode is signalled by icon (H1) on the display. The
2-point measurement is used to determine height,
based on taking two measurements: the hypotenuse
"a" and "b" the cathetus.
a
h
b
A flashing line (H1) informs you which measurement
should be performed next. Measurements are
made by pressing button (2). After measuring
the distance "a" and "b" (the values displayed in
the additional area (D)), the device automatically
determines the value of parameter "h" (the value
displayed in the main area (E)). Press the button
(2) to delete the last measurement and start a new
one).
b)
3-point measurement Entering this measurement
mode is signalled by (H2) appearing on the display.
The 3-point measurement is used to determine
the height based on the collection of three
measurements: hypotenuses "a" and "c" and "b"
the cathetus.
a
b
h
c
Flashing of either line (H2) informs you which
measurement
should
be
performed
Measurements are made by pressing the button
(2). After measuring the distance "a", "b" and "c"
(values displayed in the additional area (D)), the
device automatically determines the value of
parameter h (the value displayed in the main area
(E))
c)
Measurement of partial height Entering this
measurement mode it is signalled by (H3)
appearing on the display. This measurement is
used to determine the partial height, based on the
collection of three measurements: hypotenuse "a"
and "b" and "c" the cathetus.
h
a
b
c
One of the indicator lines flashing (H3) informs
you which measurement should be performed
next. Measurements are made by pressing button
(2). After measuring distances "a", "b" and "c"
(values displayed in additional area (D)), the device
automatically determines the value of parameter h
(value displayed in the main area (E)).
Please note: In order for the device to carry out the
measurement correctly, the length of the cathetus
must be shorter than the length of the hypotenuse.
Otherwise, the device will show a measurement
error
6.
Addition and subtraction of measurement results
Press and hold button (1) or (3) as required, until
the display shows "-" or "+" (in the third line).
Subsequent measurements will be added up or
subtracted. The measurements will be shown on the
additional display area (D), while the result of the
sum or difference will be shown in the main area (E).
To sum up the taken measurements press and hold
the button (2).
