1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The user manual is designed to assist in the safe and
trouble-free use of the device. The product is designed
and manufactured in accordance with strict technical
guidelines,
using
state-of-the-art
technologies
components. Additionally, it is produced in compliance
with the most stringent quality standards.
DO NOT USE THE DEVICE UNLESS YOU HAVE
THOROUGHLY READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS
USER MANUAL.
To increase the product life of the device and to ensure
trouble-free operation, use it in accordance with this user
manual and regularly perform maintenance tasks. The
technical data and specifications in this user manual are
up to date. The manufacturer reserves the right to make
changes associated with quality improvement.

2. USAGE SAFETY
ATTENTION! Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or
serious injury or even death.
The terms "device" or "product" are used in the warnings
and instructions to refer to < Moisture Meter >.
2.1. ELECTRICAL SAFETY
a)
Do not touch the device with wet or damp hands.
b)
ATTENTION! DANGER TO LIFE! While cleaning, never
immerse the device in water or other liquids.
2.2. SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE
a)
If there are any doubts as to the correct operation
of the device, contact the manufacturer's support
service.
b)
Only the manufacturer's service point may repair the
device. Do not attempt any repairs independently!
c)
Please keep this manual available for future
reference. If this device is passed on to a third party,
the manual must be passed on with it.
d)
Keep packaging elements and small assembly parts
in a place not available to children.
e)
Keep the device away from children and animals.
REMEMBER! When using the device, protect
children and other bystanders.
2.3. PERSONAL SAFETY
a)
The device is not a toy. Children must be supervised
to ensure that they do not play with the device.
2.4. SAFE DEVICE USE
a)
Do not use the device if the ON/OFF switch does not
function properly (does not switch the device on and
off). Devices which cannot be switched on and off
and
using the ON/OFF switch are hazardous, should not
be operated and must be repaired.
b)
Keep the device in perfect technical condition. Before
each use check for general damage and especially
check for cracked parts or elements and for any other
conditions which may impact the safe operation of
the device. If damage is discovered, hand over the
device for repair before use.
c)
Keep the device out of the reach of children.
d)
Device repair or maintenance should be carried out
by qualified persons, only using original spare parts.
This will ensure safe use.
e)
To ensure the operational integrity of the device, do
not remove factory-fitted guards and do not loosen
any screws.
f)
Clean the device regularly to prevent stubborn grime
from accumulating.
g)
The device is not a toy. Cleaning and maintenance
may not be carried out by children without
supervision by an adult person.
h)
It is forbidden to interfere with the structure of
the device in order to change its parameters or
construction.
i)
Keep the device away from sources of fire and heat.
j)
Never turn on the device immediately after moving
it from a cold to a warm room. That may disturb the
measurement results. Leave the device switched off
until it reaches room temperature.

k)
Do not expose the product to mechanical pressure.
l)
Immersion of the moisture probe head in the liquid
can cause permanent damage to the probe.
m)
It is recommended to protect the probe with a cover
when the instrument is not in use, to extend its life.
n)
When replacing the battery, ensure the polarity is
correct.
o)
Keep unused batteries out of reach of children.
ATTENTION! Despite the safe design of the device
and its protective features, and despite the use of
additional elements protecting the operator, there is
still a slight risk of accident or injury when using the
device. Stay alert and use common sense when using
the device.
3. USE GUIDELINES
The device is designed to measure the percentage of
moisture content in the material being tested.
The user is liable for any damage resulting from
unintended use of the device.
3.1. DEVICE DESCRIPTION
ATTENTION! This product's exploded view can be
found on the last pages of the operating instructions
(pp. 24).

3.2. PREPARING FOR USE / DEVICE USE
3.2.1 BATTERY INSTALLATION
1.
Unscrew the battery cover [10] screws.
2.
Remove the battery cover [10].
3.
Place the battery in its place, taking into account the
polarity.
4.
Replace the battery cover [10], secure with screws.
Note: If the device display [8] shows low battery [G]
and it is necessary to replace the battery with a new
one, proceed in the same way as above.
3.2.2 MEASUREMENTS
1.
Turn on the device by pressing the [5] key.
2.
Press the [4] key to select the moisture measurement
mode:
a)
Select the type of material: hard [E] or wood-based
[F]. The information will appear on the display [8] in
the form of a respective icon.
b)
Select Celsius scale [I] or Fahrenheit scale [H], by
pressing the [3] key.
Note: The current ambient temperature is displayed
directly on the display [8].
c)
Press the [4] key to return to moisture measurement
mode.
3.
Before measurements are taken, the surface to be
tested should be prepared.
4.
The surface of the test material should be dried from
visible moisture and cleaned.
Note: For the most reliable measurement results,
grip the instrument at a maximum distance from the
probe [1]. Moisture on your hands may affect the
correctness of the measurement result.
5.
Remove the probe cover [9].
Note: Clean the pins of the measuring probe [1]
thoroughly before taking the measurements. Any
contamination may have a negative effect on the
correctness of the result.
6.
Push the pins of the measurement probe [1] into the
tested material.
Note: It is recommended to insert the probe pins [1]
so that they connect perpendicularly to the surface
of the tested material.
7.
Keep the device dry.
3.2.3 AUTOMATIC POWER OFF FEATURE
If the device is not used or the displayed measurement value
does not change for approx. 5 minutes, the instrument will
turn off automatically.
3.2.4 „HOLD" FEATURE
During measurements it is possible to freeze the
measurement readings in the device display by pressing
the "HOLD" key [7].
3.2.5 SETTING OF LED CONTROL INDICATORS FOR
MOISTURE MEASUREMENTS
1.
The user can set a desired scale of measurement.
a)
If the measured moisture content is lower than the
set minimum value, the LED [2] will light green.
b)
If the measured moisture content exceeds the
maximum value, the LED [2] will light red.
c)
If the measured value falls within the acceptable
scale range, the LED [2] will light orange.
d)
Factory default moisture content values are:
For hard materials: AL1 = 0.3 and AL2 = 0.8
For wood-based materials: AL1 = 13 and AL2 =
18
2.
Programming the moisture scale.
a)
Minimum value
Press and hold (for approx. 3 seconds) the [4]
key. The display will show "AL1".
Change the desired value using the keys [3] or
[7].
Press [4] again to confirm the selection and exit
the minimum value setting menu.
b)
Maximum value
Press and hold (for approx. 5 seconds) the [8]
key. The display will show "AL2".
Change the desired value using the keys [4] or
[7].
Press [4] again to confirm the selection and exit
the maximum value setting menu.
3.3.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
a)
Use only non-corrosive cleaners to clean the surface.
b)
After cleaning the device, all parts should be dried
completely before using it again.
