8.1 Automatic freewheeling
Automatic freewheeling ensures safe pushing during which the child's feet can
rest on the pedals. If automatic freewheeling interferes with learning to ride the
tricycle, the hub can be locked with a small handle, so ensuring normal rigid
drive of the tricycle.
Automatic

movement. For this the
locking ring must be
pulled outwards to the
fork.
TRICK
Direct drive
Forward and reverse movement. For this the lok-
king ring must be rotated so that a line on it covers
an arrow on the wheel. The locking ring can then
be pressed into the wheel centre.
It is easier to locate the locking position by turning
the wheel and pressing at the same time.
