4- Connection detection guide
Please find below details on the standard connections of a fire detection installation.
An area can have a maximum of 32 detectors or 32 manual call point. The cabling of
a zone area must begin at the connector of panel and end at a line sensing element
(resistance 4K7 Ohm). It is not permitted to make star-type derivations in the wiring,
or install the sensing element in the connector of the panel if you are use the zone. If
GB
you are not going to use one of the zones of the panel, it is necessary to place an end
of line resistor in the terminals of the zone to avoid the system indicating that the area
is in fault mode.
4.1.1- Detectors Connection
The conventional panels are compatible with detectors in the conventional range;
correct operation with third-party detectors is not guaranteed.
As indicated in the drawing above, the positive connects to contact number 1 both in
the input and output. The negative connects to the line input at contact 4 and leaves
through contact 3 to the following detector. At the end of the line you must place a
4K7 end-of-line. Remember that the maximum number of detectors per zone is 32
detectors or 32 MCP.
