with the amputee support (accessory) (Fig. 19) the wheel base can be extended by 7 cm.
when you have completed the adjustment, make sure that all screws have been properly tightened (see the page
on torque). CAUTION: wheel locks must be adjusted for the new position.
Sideguard Standard Armrests
Standard armrest, detachable with short or long armpads. The front of the short armrest is angled downward, which
allows you to pull up close to a desk or table top. To detach the armrest, push the lever (1) (Fig 20) downwards
to unlock. After reinserting the armrest, push the lever (1) upwards. Always make sure that the armrest is locked
in place.
CAUTION: Neither the sideguards nor the armrests are to be used for lifting or carrying the wheelchair.
Height-adjustable armrest (Fig. 21)
Adjust the height of the armrest as follows: Slide the knob (1) forward until it stops. Adjust the armrest (2) to the
desired height. Slide the knob toward the back and push the armrest (2) down until you hear it click into place.
Always make sure that the sideguards have locked into place properly. To detach the armrest, press the lever (3)
downward until it stops. CAUTION: Neither the sideguards nor the armrests are to be used for lifting or carrying
the wheelchair.
Safety belt (optional)
Before using your wheelchair ensure the seat belt (when fitted) is worn and correctly adjusted
before use.
Adjust the lap belt to suit the user's needs as follows:
To increase the belt length:
Feed the belt through slide
adjusters and male buckle to
provide more belt length.
when fastened check space between the lap belt and the user, when correctly
adjusted it should be possible to insert the flat of the hand between the lap
belt and the user.

The lap belt is fitted to the wheelchair as shown in the
illustrations. Fit the safety belt by passing it around the
backrest tubes, from the outside. Secure the safety belt
to the backrest tubes using the same bolt that secures
the upholstery to the backrest tube. You must remove
this bolt beforehand. Using the same hole, push the bolt
through the belt and upholstery, and then retighten it to
the backrest tube.
Adjust the belt position so that the buckles are in the
centre of the seat.
To reduce the belt length:
Feed the belt back through male
buckle and slide adjusters.
Ensure the belt is not looped at the male
buckle
