7.1 Transport and storage

When transporting the linear units, ensure that they are not handled at the end elements by a
crane, forklift or even persons. Before transport, the guide carriage is moved to the end position
and locked there.
The load is to be secured adequately during transport, observing the centre of gravity, so that the
load is prevented from tipping.
•
Never walk under the load. The necessary protective clothing must to be worn during all work.
•
Accident prevent regulations and safety rules must be observed.
•
During transport and storage, impacts to the shaft ends and drive pins must be avoided.
Damage due to transport and storage is to be reported to the line manager and to
RK Rose+Krieger GmbH immediately.
The product is to be checked by suitable personnel for visible and functional damage.
It is forbidden to start up damaged linear units.
The following environmental conditions are laid down for linear unit storage:

No oil-contaminated air
•
Contact with solvent-based paints must be avoided
•
Lowest/highest ambient temperature: -20 °C/+80 °C
•
Relative humidity in storage: falling below the dew point is not permitted
•
Prevent deflection of the linear unit:
Complete support for the body section or an appropriate number of support points over the
length of the guidance section prevents the linear unit flexing.
Divergent environmental factors must be approved by RK Rose+Krieger GmbH.
