TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
System does not turn on.
System does not respond.
Disc won't eject
No sound.
Sound is intermittent.
Sound but no picture.
Remote control does not work.
Radio has poor reception or is not working.
DVD or CD does not play.
Sound is distorted.
You forgot your password.
What To Do
1. Ensure the AC power cord is inserted properly into the DVD Console and into an AC outlet that has power.
Check outlet by plugging in a lamp or other known working appliance.
2. Ensure the AC Mains switch on the back panel is in the ON position.
3. Check the fuse located on the back of the DVD Console. (The AC Mains switch must be in the "OFF" position.)
LED should be illuminated red.
4. Press the Power button on the front of the console itself.
1. Turn power OFF and ON using the AC Mains Switch.
1. Turn the DVD Console off using the AC Mains Switch, wait a minute, then turn the AC Mains Switch ON again.
2. Ensure the source is DVD/CD.
1. Ensure the Digital Coaxial Audio is selected through the input source.
2. Is the DVD Console display on and the LED illuminated red? If so, call customer service.
3. Check all cables and connections. Check settings on external source.
4. Turn up the volume at least to 25.
5. Ensure MUTE is not engaged according to the DVD Console display readout.
Press the MUTE button on the remote control or the Volume buttons to turn off.
6. Ensure the SurroundBar360° connector cable is seated securely into the SurroundBar360° Speaker
and also the DVD Console. Note the correct orientation of the notch on the cable connectors.
7. Turn the DVD Console OFF for 30 seconds, then turn it back ON using the AC Mains switch.
8. Select the correct source for your intended input.
9. Ensure the DVD or CD is correct side up in the tray.
1. Ensure the Parental Control Limit is the same as the rating on the disc.
1. Ensure the TV has power.
2. Ensure your TV's HDMI input is HDCP compatible.
3. Check all cables.
4. Make sure the TV has the correct video source selected.
5. Ensure the TV is set to the correct resolution and format chosen in the System Setup Menu.
1. Ensure the remote has selected source for operation.
2. Ensure the remote batteries are installed correctly.
3. Check batteries.
4. Use the remote control at very close range to ensure it works. If it does not, call Customer Service.
5. Close all shades. Turn off lights.
1. Ensure both AM & FM antennas are connected.
2. The AM antenna should be at least two feet from the DVD Console and it should sit upright on its base.
3. Stretch the FM antenna out.
4. Move the antenna around to see if that improves reception.
5. Reposition antennas farther from the electronics.
6. Sometimes other electronic devices in close proximity can interfere with radio reception.
Unplug those devices one at a time to verify. Turn off battery-powered devices as well.
1. Ensure the disc has the same region code as the sticker on the back of the DVD Console.
2. Ensure the disc is properly inserted in the tray.
3. Eject the disc and load it again.
4. Check to see that the disc is in good condition. (Scratches can cause the disc not to work.)
5. Ensure the disc format and its contents are supported by the SurroundBar360° DVD Theater.
6. Use a disc cleaner and a disc drive cleaner.
7. After using USB, switch back to DVD/CD as the source to return the SurroundBar360° System to normal function.
1. Ensure all connections are secure.
2. Turn down the output level form external audio devices connected to the DVD Console (if available).
3. Replace all connecting wires (if applicable).
4. Call Customer Service.
