COMPONENT VIDEO CONNECTION
Note: To use the progressive scan feature in the DVD Console, you must use the
Component Video or HDMI connections, and your television must support this feature.
Only use Component if you do not have HDMI. Your television must be equipped with
component video connectors (usually labeled Y (green), Pb (blue), Pr (red)) to make this
connection. A Component Video connection requires three cables, which can also be
purchased as a single 3-way cable with three plugs on each end of the cable.
From the back of the DVD Console to the television:
Connect the three color-coded cables into their corresponding color-
1
coded (and lettered Y, Pb, Pr) Component Video Outputs on the back
of the DVD Console.
Insert the other ends of the three cables into their corresponding color-
2
coded (and lettered) Component Inputs on the back of television.
The Component Video delivers an even better quality picture than S-Video
connection. To make an Component Video connection, you will need to
purchase a set of Component cables from your local electronics retailer.
