NOTICE: DO NOT use on pipes intended to contain flammable, explosive, corrosive, or harzardous materials.
MAINTENANCE
NOTICE: Use only a good hydraulic oil, avoid mixing types of oil. Do not use brake fluid, alcohol, glycerin, motor
oil, or dirty oil. Improper fluid can cause serious internal damage to the ram cylinder and pump rendering it inop-
erative. We recommend premium hydraulic fluid.
1. Keep cylinder retracted and release valve open when not in use.
2. Keep equipment clean.
3. Lubricate moving parts on pump handle.
4. Avoid sharp kinks in hose.
5. If hydraulic oil is required, refill at oil filler screw hole until oil is within 3/8" of the oil filler hole, reinstall oil filler screw.
Replacing oil
1. Remove oil filler screw of the hand pump.
2. Turn pump over and drain oil out through oil filler screw hole. Dispose oil in accordance with local regulations.
3. Fill until oil is within 3/8" of the oil filler screw hole opening, reinstall oil filler screw.
Note: Do not allow dirt or other foreign material to enter the hydraulic system when filling.
