Response time
The total response time is calculated from:
- The response time of speed monitoring
- The release time of the output relay (12 ms) and
- The shutdown times of the external switching elements
There is a linear decrease in the response time of speed monitoring when the speed to be
monitored increases:
It is approx. 500 ms at 6 Hz and 30 ms at 100 Hz.
The following applies:
• Downtime monitoring to zero is not possible.
• The minimum adjustable frequency for downtime is 1.3 Hz.
• When parameterizing the downtime and all the maximum speed to be monitored (Vmax),

ensure that the ratio of the frequency of Vmax and the downtime is > 6. If the ratio is < 6,
the single-channel property of the sensors is not detected.
This measure is necessary to ensure the operational reliability.
