Find out in below Table1 which is the size of the depth delimiter back
grinding.
Grinding the depth delimiter, the screw clamp position shall always be 0°.
Set the supporting table at 90°
Once your chain has been fully sharpened, you must make sure that the
depth limiter spacing is maintained (see Fig.13): the depth limiter (g) must
be lower than the cutting links (f). You may use a file (not provided) to
grind the depth limiter (g) to the specifications for your chain.
V. OPERATION
5.1- Intended use
- The product is intended for indoor domestic use.
- The product is intended for sharpening saw chains within the limits of the sharpener.
- This power tool may not be used to do other things outside of the described scope.
- Do not use the machine for unsuitable purposes (for ex. for cutting wood, metal, plastic,...)
- The tool is not intended for professional or industrial use.
5.2- Operation:
1. Prepare chain for sharpening and lay it properly on the guide plates (refer to 4.6.1)
2. Adjust settings according to the specifications for your chain or according to your needs.
3. Connect product to a power source (refer to characteristics on product).
4. Wear appropriate protective equipment.
5. Firmly hold tool. Always maintain a balanced and secure position.
6. Press ON switch (I) to start machine.
7. Start sharpening (Refer to 4.6)
8. Place grinding disk on chain link. Do not make sudden movements.
Guide disk on the chain link surface, do not apply excessive pressure.
9. Once work is finished, stop product by pressing OFF switch (0).
Note: do not touch tool until the grinding disk has come to a complete stop.
10. Tips: Mark the start of grinding e.g. with a piece of chalk and grind all the teeth in one direction,
then turn the clamping screw (mind the angle) and grind the teeth in opposite direction.
With worn chains, the lateral guide position shall be set for the grinding disk not to touch the guide.
Avoid any strong thrust as the teeth might collide and the chain would wear and tear too fast
Watch out for the sharpening angle to correspond to the guides' position.
The type of the chain to be sharpened should be determined using the table.1. There, you can find out
the cutting thickness, angles and dimensions.
11. Note: Never grind any driven parts.
VI. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Before any intervention on product, ensure that product is disconnected from its
power source.
6.1- Cleansing
Clean plastic parts with a soft and clean cloth
Do not use aggressive cleansers (solvents or abrasive cleansers), or an abrasive sponge.
Do not use any caustic to clean the plastic parts.
Do not put or immerse tool in water or any other liquid, and ensure that no water gets inside the tool.
Clean ventilations holes with a soft brush or with compressed air.
