9. Using a sharpening stone and a clamping plate, it is possible to sharpen the disk so as to obtain the
required profile.
In this case, be careful at work so as not to damage the disk.
4.5- Starting and Stopping (ON/OFF switching)
The switch is located on the top of the machine (see Fig.9).
To start the machine: press the switch [I].
To stop the machine: press the switch [0].
4.6- Grinding
Note: Make sure that the saw-chain sharpener is secured
appropriately to avoid slipping out.
4.6.1- Installing the chain (Fig.10)
1. The chain (e) should be properly laid between both
attachment guide plates (10) (Fig.10).
2. Loosen the mounting screw (8) and place the cutting chain in
the guide rail between the guide plates (10) (Fig.10).
3. Tighten mounting screw (8).
4. Fold the chain stopper (17) onto the link and pull the chain
towards the back until the cutting link rests against the stopper.

4.6.2- Setting the grinding angle (see Fig.10)
Set the top rotary table angle by means of the setting wheel (6)
Loosen the setting wheel (6).
Set to desired grinding angle, which can be read on the scale (7).
Tighten the setting wheel (6).
4.6.3- Setting the grinding depth (see Fig.11)
Loosen the setting wheel (3).
Set to desired grinding depth.
Tighten the setting wheel (3).
4.6.4- Setting the bearing arm angle
Loosen the setting wheel (4).
Set to desired angle, which can be read on the scale.
Tighten the setting wheel (4).
4.6.5- Setting the vice angle (Fig.12)
The vice angle can be adjusted between -10º to +10º
Once you have adjusted the machine to your required settings, the machine may be switched on and
grinding may start by a careful thrust on the grinding disk. Adjust the pressure as necessary.
