The smoke boxes are designed to stop and recover most of the dust so that they are not ejected into the flue. To
prevent clogging of the flue and evacuation ducts, you must clean the flue boxes at least once every two months.
Maintenance should only be performed when the appliance is turned off and completely cooled.
For the stove smoke box: (see diagram below)
5. Open the door
6. Unscrew the two bakelite buttons that hold the smoke box door shut.
7. Clean the inside of the smoke box with an ash vacuum cleaner.
8. Reassemble, following the steps backwards.
