Only qualified professionals should install our appliances.
All local and national regulations and European standards must be observed when installing and using the appliance.
For this appliance, the installation rules are the same as those for a wood stove.
•
For material choices and installation rules for the stove-building elements (connection duct and flue), please
refer to the DTU 24.2 instructions
•
For combustion air, the air intake being in the living space, the ventilation of the room where the appliance
is installed must be carried out in accordance with the instructions of the DTU24.2 and the CO decree.
The installation must allow easy use and maintenance of the appliance:
•
There must be a standardised 230V - 50 Hz power outlet close to the appliance
•
The electrical installation must be done in compliance with current directives
•
The flue must comply current standards to guarantee that:
The draught is appropriate for the proper functioning of the appliance
There is adequate distance from flammable material

6.4.1
Draught
The output of the flue must be between 12 and 6 Pascals. This can be measured with a manometer when the
appliance is in operation.
Do not connect the appliance to a flue pipe that is used for other appliances.
6.4.2
Ventilation from the room where the appliance is installed
The operation of the appliance requires an air supply in addition to that required for the regulatory air exchange.
This air supply is mandatory when the house is equipped with mechanical ventilation. The air intake must be located
either directly outside or in a ventilated area on the outside and be protected by a grid.
The air supply outlet must be located as close to the appliance as possible. It must be closable when it opens directly
into the room. Do not obstruct the air supply when the appliance is in use.
The minimum section for a solid fuel burning appliance with a power of less than 25kW is defined by a decree of
23/02/2009 at the section of 50 cm².
DTUs 24-1 and 24-2 and the Decree of 22 October 1969 must be respected. The departmental health regulation
(RSDT) in §23-1 specifies the conditions for air intake in housing and indicates that the air intakes must not be
blocked by the user.
If other heaters can be used at the same time, additional fresh air supply sections must be provided for these
appliances.
6.4.3
Location of the appliance
The appliance must be placed on a floor that has a sufficient load capacity. If an existing building does not meet this
prerequisite, adequate measures (ex: installation of a load distribution plate) must be taken to allow the floor to
support the appliance. The location of the appliance must allow easy cleaning of the appliance, the connection duct,
and the flue duct.
