2.5 Cutting height adjustment

Adjust the cutting height according to the needs of your
lawn. The cutting height depends on the kind of lawn and
its actual height. When mowing high grass, start with the
maximum cutting height and make a second cut with a
lower cutting height.
1. Move the lever towards the front of the machine to
increase the cutting height and towards the rear to
reduce the cutting height.
2. Return the lever to the locating notch to set the de-
sired cutting height (Fig. 13).

CAUTION: Never adjust the cutting height
when the engine is running. Always remove
the spark plug cap before making any adjust-
ments.

2.6 Filling with fuel

Danger of injury!
Fuel is explosive!
- Turn off and cool the motor down before
filling the tank with fuel.
- You must observe all safety instructions
relating to handing fuel.
Risk of device damage!
The device is supplied without motor oil.
Before operating, you must fill it with motor
oil.
WARNING!

Unscrew the tank cap and remove it. (Fig. 14)
Pour in the fuel carefully. Unleaded petrol, octane

> 90, 2 L max.
Avoid spilling !
Screw the tank cap on firmly by hand.

2.7 Filling with engine oil

1. Unscrew and remove the oil tank cap.
2. Gradually add good-quality engine oil (SAE 10W-30,

3. OPERATION

3.1 Start the unit

Do not start the machine until it has been completely
assembled. Before switching on the machine, always
checking the oil.
Warning! This machine generates an electromagnetic
field when operated. This field can affect active or passive
medical implants in certain circumstances. In order to re-
duce the risk of severe injury or death, we recommend
that people with medical implants consult their doctor or
the manufacturer of the medical implant before operating
the machine.

WARNING! This product is not supplied with
oil. However, for manufacturing reasons it is
possible that a small quantity may be left in
the oil tank (see "Technical specifications")!
