AVENTICS | SERCOS III | R412012613–BDL–001–AC
6.3.1
Start-up procedure
The start-up procedure is as follows:
1. The bus coupler automatically starts the communication
with the DDL slaves and determines which slaves are
present. During the initialization, the DDL LED illuminates. If
a correct DDL configuration is determined, the DDL LED
flashes.
2. If an error is recognized, the bus coupler waits 5 seconds
and restarts the DDL communication. The user can then
resolve the address error (see also "Setting the DDL
address" on page 54). If the DDL configuration is incorrect,
the DDL LED illuminates (see also "DDL participant
parameters" on page 66). In any case, a voltage reset is
necessary after the error is resolved.
3. With this information from the initialization, the function
groups are created for the SERCOS III master (IDN/
S-0-1302.0.2). If the configuration is correct, communication
is started and a wait is initiated for the parameters from the
master in the CP2. Takeover of the parameters is carried out
by a "CP3 transition check" (IDN/S-0-0127).
4. If SERCOS III and DDL are correctly configured, the DDL LED
extinguishes and the DDL system starts the cyclical data
exchange (CP4).
If no DDL participants are connected, the SERCOS III
communication will not start because it waits for a valid
configuration.
