Using the cooler

The lid of the cool box must always be secured with the lock when
loading and unloading (6, page 4). If the lid is fully open without
being secured, the box could tip over.
If the handle is folded back of if the cooler is being carried, the lid
is locked (7 A, page 4). You can only open the lid when the han-
dle is folded forwards (7 B, page 4).
Like every cooling device, your cooler must be properly ventilated
so that any heat created can dissipate. Otherwise proper function-
ing cannot be ensured.
➤ Place the cooler on a firm base.
➤ Connect the 12 V connection cable (2 1, page 3) into the cigarette
lighter socket or a 12 V socket in the vehicle
or
➤ Plug the 220-240 V connection cable (2 2, page 3) into the AC voltage
socket and connect it to the 220-240 V AC mains supply.
Switch off the battery monitor (3 2, page 3, ABS accessory) (OFF
position).
➤ Only on versions with the additional heating feature: Push the switch
(4 3, page 3) on the control panel to "COLD" or "HOT" to switch on the
cooler.
✓ The indicators on the control panel show you the operating mode:
Operating display
Green (4 1, page 3)
Red (4 2, page 3)
✓ The cooler starts cooling/heating the interior
Ensure that the objects placed in the cooler are suitable for cooling
to the selected temperature.
➤ If you wish to switch the cooler off:
– Slide the switch (4 3, page 3) to the "OFF" position (only with the
heating accessory)
– Pull out the connection cable
