The electric multi-point lock 819 (Pic. 1) is equipped with four monitoring contacts for the monitoring of
the bolt, the two door handles and the profile cylinder ("Status messages for the control system", page 45).
All models are available as fail-locked and fail-unlocked versions ("Explanation of terms", page 42), with
one-sided or double-sided activating and deactivating door handles, with and without panic function as
well as Euro profile cylinders and Swiss profile cylinders (Tab. 1).

DIN right hand and DIN left hand
Depending on the opening direction of the door (DIN left hand or DIN right hand) and electrically
activating and deactivating door handles, there are four lock types. The lock types are identified by the
15th position of their type number with the letters C, D, E and F.
The lock types D and F are suitable for panic doors according to building code regulations.
