Installation
Spacer plate set
Spacer plates can be mounted on tubular-frame and solid-leaf doors doors made of wood, metal, plastic
or aluminium.
Spacer plates (Pic. 15, „Accessories", Seite 59) are used to
· reduce the rebate gap ("Explanation of terms", page 42) or
· to protect the slide linkage in wooden doors from jamming.
Reduction of the rebate gap
If the spacer plate is used to reduce the rebate gap, it must be borne in mind that the position of the
follower and cylinder perforation must be shifted 1 mm due to the thickness of the spacer plate.
Jamming of the slide linkage in wooden doors
In wooden doors the slide linkage can be jammed when fastened in place or even due to minimal war-
page. Using a spacer plate can prevent this, because a small amount of clearance is always maintained for
the slide linkage. If the rebate gap must or should not be reduced in the process, the door leaf must be
milled 1 mm deeper.
The adhesive strips between
the holes prevent the sliding
linkage from jamming.
