OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The SWP module produces domestic
hot water using established heat pump
technology. The operating principle is as
follows:
•
The refrigerant fl uid changes state in
the evaporator, taking heat from the
low-temperature source (the outside
air).
•
The compressor, which is the pulsing
heart of the system, raises the energy
level of the extracted heat: in fact,
the refrigerant fl uid, increasing in
pressure,
reaches
which are capable of heating the
water in the accumulation tank.
•
In the condenser, heat energy can
be transferred to the domestic water,
which reaches temperatures of up to
60°C. The accumulation tank (200,
300 litres) makes it possible to store
this heat for a long time, thanks to
its 50 mm polyurethane insulating
jacket.
•
Finally, as it passes through the
expansion tank, the pressure and
temperature of the fl uid drops again,
and it can be used to "feed" more
"environmentally friendly" heat from
the air sucked. It is also possible to use
auxiliary sources, with supplementary
exchangers, by connecting them to
boilers or solar panels. The standard
unit uses a 1.5 kW single-phase
electric heating element. The carbon
steel boiler is internally vitrifi ed with
2 coats of SMALGLASS and has a
magnesium anode; it also has a rigid
plastic (ABS) outer coating.
